IRVING, Texas -- Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced today that Buick has entered into an agreement to be the title sponsor for the 2011 Buick C-USA Men's and Women's Basketball Championships, March 9-12 in El Paso, Texas. This year, both championships will be played on the UTEP campus. The men's 11-game tournament will be held at the Don Haskins Center. The women's semifinals and title game will also be held at the Haskins Center, with first-round games and quarterfinals held at the historic Memorial Gym.
Both Championships will feature all 12 Conference USA basketball teams, with the winners earning an automatic bid to represent C-USA in the NCAA Championship.
"We are thrilled to welcome Buick as the title sponsor for our premier basketball event," said Banowsky. "We look forward to showcasing our 24 basketball programs, their coaches and student-athletes, our fine institutions and our world-class fans."
CBS College Sports Network is the official rights holder of the C-USA partnership rights, which include both the men's and women's basketball Championships. CBS College Sports Network will exclusively air the C-USA men's quarterfinals and the men's and women's semifinals on March 10-11, as well as the March 12 Women's Championship game. The Men's Championship game will air on CBS on March 12 at 11:35 a.m. EST.
