Jan. 30, 2013

'WHITEOUT' Theme vs. Memphis Announced

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Due to the expected high turnout for the Southern Miss men's basketball Conference USA game against Memphis, Saturday, Feb. 9, the Department of Athletics will issue 1,600 wristbands to students next week for entrance to the contest.

The wristband availability, which accounts for the number of seats in the student section, begins Wednesday for the first 1,000 Southern Miss Student Eagle Club members only with valid Southern Miss student ID and Student Eagle Club card.

The remaining wristbands will be available to the general student population with distribution running both on Thursday and Friday.

Pickup times each day will be from 9 a.m., until 5 p.m., at the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office (Corner of W. 4th St. and Golden Eagle Ave.).

Please note that only one wristband will be given per student with a valid student ID, and a wristband as well as validated student ID must be shown at the door for admittance to the game. The wristbands are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Tickets for the general public are still available for the contest by going online at SouthernMissTickets.com, by calling 1-800-844-TICK (8425) or by visiting the Pat Ferlise Ticket Office weekdays from 8 a.m., until 5 p.m.

Game time is set for 3 p.m., at Reed Green Coliseum. It has been designated a WHITEOUT game with fans urged to wear white this contest. The Department of Athletics is giving away 6,500 WHITEOUT t-shirts for the contest.
