ECU-St. John's Baseball Game Moved To 11 A.M.
Pirates Open Chapel Hill Regional With Familiar Foe In Red Storm

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - East Carolina's opening game in the 2012 Chapel Hill Regional against St. John's has been moved up to an 11 a.m. start due to the threat of inclement weather in the area.

The Pirates (35-22-1), who are making their fifth regional appearance under head coach Billy Godwin, will open regional play against the Red Storm (37-21) for the second-straight year. The two teams met twice in 2011 at the Charlottesville Regional.

The second game (Cornell vs. North Carolina) will start approximately 50 minutes after the conclusion of game 1.

Game 1: #2 East Carolina (35-22-1) vs. #3 St. John's (37-21), 11 a.m.
Game 2: #1 North Carolina (44-14) vs. #4 Cornell (31-15-1), 50 minutes after game 1

Game 4: Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2, 6 p.m.
Sunday, June 3
