Houston swept this week's Conference USA Cross Country Athlete of the Week accolades as MEGAN MUNOZ and DAVID SMITH were the Cougars' top finishers at the Houston Baptist/Puma Invitational. Munoz won the women's event in a 3-mile time of 17:29, while Smith clocked a 4-mile time of 19:50.

MEGAN MUNOZ - Sr., Kingwood, Texas
Munoz won the Houston Baptist/Puma Invitational three-mile race with a time of 17:29. This marks the senior's first career invitational title. As a team, Houston placed second, behind city rival Rice. Munoz also picks up her first Athlete of the Week accolade.

DAVID SMITH - Jr., Houston, Texas
Smith led the Houston men's "B" team to second-place honors at the Houston Baptist/Puma Invitational. The junior clocked a time of 19:50 in the 4 mile race. This is Smith's first career Athlete of the Week honor.
