Cross Country Moves Up In Latest Poll

NEW ORLEANS (SMU) --- The SMU cross country team moved up one spot to No. 21 in this week's United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Coaches' Poll, which was released today. The Mustangs remain ranked for the third consecutive poll. In the USTFCCCA's Regional Rankings, the Mustangs once again garnered the top spot in the South Central Region. SMU has maintained the No. 1 ranking since the preseason. The Mustangs have been led by sophomore Mary Alenbratt, who finished second in the UT Arlington Season Opener, and was named Conference USA's Cross Country Athlete of the Week earlier this month. SMU returns to the track on Oct. 2 at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
