IRVING, Texas - For the second consecutive week, UTEP's Anthony Rotich and Risper Kimaiyo as well as UAB's Sarah Hudak have been named Conference USA Cross Country Athletes of the Week. All three runners captured individual titles over the weekend. Rotich clocked a time of 24:15 in the men's 8K race, while Kimaiyo was the first female to cross the finish line with a season-best 5K time of 17:18 at the Kachina Classic in Las Cruces, N.M. Hudak also clocked a personal-best and winning 6K time of 21:53.50 at the Azalea City Classic in Mobile, Ala., Saturday.

CONFERENCE USA CROSS COUNTRY ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
CO-FEMALE ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
RISPER KIMAIYO, UTEP / Senior / Iten, Kenya
Kimaiyo earned her fourth consecutive meet title at the Kachina Classic in Las Cruces, N.M. The senior was the first to across the finish line with a season-best time of 17:18 in the women' 5K race. Kimaiyo led the women's team to a third place finish with a total of 53 points.

SARAH HUDAK, UAB / Senior / Manchester, England
Hudak won her third consecutive meet at the Azalea City Classic in Mobile, Ala., Saturday. She clocked a winning and personal-best 6K time of 21:53.50. Hudak's previous 6K best (22:14.80) was set at the 2011 NCAA South Regional. As a team, the Blazers finished in fourth place with 121 points.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
ANTHONY ROTICH, UTEP / Freshman / Eldoret, Kenya
Rotich claimed his second consecutive crown of the season at the Kachina Classic. The freshman clocked a time of 24:15 in the men's 8K race. He led the team to a first place finish with 29 points as the Miners defeated I-10 rival N.M. State for the second straight week.
