HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Health issues will force former Southern Miss women's track and field standout Tori Bowie to miss the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore., later this month.

Her withdrawal ends her goal of making the USA Track and Field Team in the long jump for the 2012 Summer Games in London, England.

Bowie, from Sand Hill, Miss., will also miss the North American, South American and Caribbean U23 Championships early next month.
