Conference USA has named UTEP's ANTHONY WRIGHT and GANNA DEMYDOVA of Southern Miss as this week's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week. Wright clocked a second-place time of 10.29 in the men's 100-meters at the UTEP Invitational while Demydova recorded the NCAAs seventh-best triple jump mark of 13.35-meters (43-9.75) at the Mississippi Open last weekend.

Wright clocked a second-place time of 10.29 in the men's 100-meters at the UTEP Invitational last weekend. The junior now holds the fastest time in Conference USA. Wright was also a member of the 4x100m relay team that took first place and defeated the top-ranked Kansas State at the invitational, posting a season-best of 40.21. The squad tops the Conference USA performance list and ranks 45th in the nation. This is Wright's first career C-USA Outdoor Athlete of the Week honor.

GANNA DEMYDOVA, SOUTHERN MISS
Senior, Jumps, Nikolayev, Ukraine
Demydova competed in her first spring meet and recorded the seventh-best triple jump mark of 13.35-meters (43-9.75) in the nation at the Mississippi Open last weekend. The mark placed her first overall at the meet and tops the Conference USA performance list. This is Demydova's first C-USA Outdoor Athlete of the Week honor for the season and second for her career.
