BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB track and field team will compete at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. beginning Friday. The meet will be the final competition before the Conference USA Championship

The meet begins at 9 a.m. Friday with the 5,000 meter runs and will conclude approximately at 6 p.m. Saturday with the 4x400-meter relays.

The Blazers come into the two-day invitational, after their most successful meet of the season at the Meyo Invitational Feb. 8-9.

Genoah Collins, who earned C-USA Athlete of the week, will look to maintain her NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 800-meter race. The 4x400-meter relay and distance medley relay teams will continue their respective pushes to also run a national qualifying time.
