COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The University of Houston track and field team will make its last trip to Aggieland this season to compete in the Texas A&M Invitational on Saturday at the Gilliam Indoor Track and Field Stadium inside the McFerrian Athletic Center.
The meet will be scored between competing teams from Houston, Texas A&M, Cal State Northridge, Rice, TCU, Texas State, and UTEP. Scoring in the meet will be on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis for all events with only three athletes per school eligible to score.
This one-day Invitational will begin at Noon with the men's and women's triple jump and conclude at 5:48 p.m. with the men's 4x400 relay.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cougars traveled to New York City to compete in the New Balance Collegiate Invitational at The Armory on Feb. 1-2. Sophomore Anthony Coleman clipped his previous personal best by three seconds in the men's 800-meter championship to take home fifth-place overall. Coleman's time of 1:51.33 is the fourth fastest in Houston history.
