SMU consistently ranks in the top half of national universities in the guide America's Best Colleges, published by U.S. News & World Report.
In nine of the last 10 years, SMU has finished in the top 45 nationally among 310 programs in the United States Sports Academy Cup , released by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. SMU also has ranked among the top 10 athletics programs in private institutions nationally in seven of the past eight years.
