The university received Top 10 rankings in a survey conducted by the Chronicle of Higher Education for the university's success in research leading to patents, licensed inventions and the creation of spin-off companies.
Over the past 12 seasons, the East Carolina football program has participated in six bowl games and finished with a Top 25 national ranking twice.
