Conference USA has announced its television schedules for games appearing on ESPN and CBS Sports Network during the 2017 football season.  C-USA games are spread from the opening day of the season to the final Saturday of the regular season with a mix of attractive non-conference and exciting league contests being featured.

The ESPN schedule begins on Saturday, August 26 when Rice plays its first game outside of the United States, facing Stanford in Sydney, Australia (10 p.m. EDT/9 p.m. CDT on ESPN or ESPN 2).

The next three games on the ESPN schedule are Friday night contests.  Lane Kiffin will make his debut as Florida Atlantic head coach when the Owls host Navy on September 1 at 8 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. CDT on ESPNU.  Two weeks later, on September 15, Arizona and UTEP will meet for the 52nd time, but the first since 2003, with a 10:15 p.m. EDT/8:15 p.m. MDT kickoff from the Sun Bowl on ESPN.  On October 20, East Division rivals Marshall and Middle Tennessee will face each other for a 7 p.m. EDT/6 p.m. CDT contest that will air on ESPN2.

ESPN’s regular season schedule concludes when it airs the Saturday, November 25 game between West Division rivals UTSA and Louisiana Tech from Ruston, Louisiana.  The network, as well as the kickoff time for that game, will be announced 12 days prior to the game.

The CBS Sports Network schedule begins with an SEC vs. C-USA doubleheader on Saturday, September 2.  Kentucky will play at Southern Miss at 4 p.m. EDT/3 p.m. CDT, the second straight season the teams open against each other, as the Golden Eagles won last year in Lexington.  Following that game, local rivals Vanderbilt and Middle Tennessee will meet at 8 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. CDT.  The following Saturday will again see C-USA face off with the SEC, when Louisiana Tech welcomes Mississippi State to Ruston for a 7:30 p.m. EDT/6:30 p.m. CDT kickoff.

The final three CBS Sports Network games are league matchups and will take place on Friday nights.  Two-time defending league champion WKU and Old Dominion (who were each 7-1 in league play last season) square off in Norfolk, Virginia on October 20 with kickoff time to be announced.  Two weeks later, on November 3, East Division rivals Marshall and Florida Atlantic face each other in Boca Raton, Florida at 6 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. CDT.  The league’s most played rivalry is renewed on Friday, November 17 as Middle Tennessee makes the 100-mile drive to WKU for an 8 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. CDT contest.

The 2017 C-USA Championship game on Saturday, December 2 is scheduled to air on either ESPN or ESPN 2.  It marks the 13th-straight year that the C-USA Championship will air on the ESPN Networks.  ESPN is also scheduled to carry all six of C-USA’s bowl games in which it has a guaranteed selection.

Additional Conference USA football television exposures through other league television partners, as well as select non-conference road games that will air on other conferences television packages will be released as soon as they are finalized.
