IRVING, Texas – ConferenceUSA.com will be your social media hub for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, offering a dynamic array of online coverage of more than 30 current and former C-USA athletes as they compete for gold in London. Housed on the league’s official website, the newly launched London Olympics Central page will provide athlete biographies and event results while serving as the gateway to exclusive C-USA coverage of the 2012 Olympic Games.
C-USA also has added Tumblr to its social media portfolio. The blog site will provide updates, links to feature stories and videos about the league’s athletes, coaches and administrators participating in the Games.
Fans following the official Twitter page of C-USA, @ConferenceUSA1, can post and receive the latest updates by using the hashtag #TeamCUSA. Additional Olympic Games coverage can be found on Facebook and on the virtual pinboard Pinterest.
Thirty-one athletes from 11 current and future institutions will represent 21 different countries. University of Houston Diving Coach Jane Figueiredo will coach diving at her sixth Olympic Games for former UH diver Anastasia Pozdniakova. UAB Associate Athletics Director for Media Relations Norm Reilly also will represent Conference USA as information manager for men’s and women’s basketball for Olympic Broadcasting Services.
