Arredondo to Attend NCAA Leadership Institute

IRVING, Texas - Conference USA Director of Compliance and Sport Services Frank Arredondo has been selected to attend the prestigious NCAA Leadership Institute, which will be held July 13-18 in Washington, D.C.
The NCAA Leadership Institute provides tailored programming conducted on NCAA member institution campuses to assist participants in strategically mapping and planning their careers. The format of the week-long institute will allow participants to enhance their professional skills, diversify their professional network, gain exposure to the core business areas of intercollegiate athletics and receive an in-depth view of the opportunities to serve within the NCAA governance structure.
The curriculum of the event provides exposure to a number of areas, while exploring personal professional options and exploring the internal and external operations of athletics departments. The participants will also visit American University, Georgetown University and George Washington University campuses.
At Conference USA, Arredondo's primary areas of responsibility include providing rules interpretations of NCAA and C-USA legislation to member institutions, serving as liaison to the C-USA compliance coordinators committee, serving as sport/championship liaison to the C-USA men's tennis coaches, and assisting in the facilitation of a comprehensive rules education program for member institutions and conference staff.
He also oversees the Conference USA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and will serve as host to the annual SAAC meetings, featuring representatives from all 16 conference member institutions, prior to the NCAA Leadership Institute.
Arredondo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English-Rhetoric at Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas.
