IRVING, TEXAS - Conference USA and CSTV have teamed up to introduce a new look for the league's official Web site, ConferenceUSA.com. The site debuts today as the league celebrates its first day as a 12-team all sports conference with East Carolina, Houston, Marshall, Memphis, Rice, SMU, Southern Miss, Tulane, Tulsa, UAB, UCF and UTEP.
The dynamic redesign gives online visitors complete coverage of the league and its members, while reflecting the league's brand message, "New Look, Same Commitment to Excellence." The site will remain a comprehensive source of information, but also incorporate new elements that emphasize feature-oriented and interactive content with broad appeal. The partnership with CSTV gives C-USA an opportunity to create and maintain an official Web site that captures the essence of college sports.
"These are exciting times with the launch of the new Conference USA officially taking place on July 1, as well as the debut of our new Web site," Commissioner Britton Banowsky said. "ConferenceUSA.com will continue to offer fans all the great information they have always received, along with so much more. This is an example of our growing partnership with CSTV Networks."
Currently nine C-USA schools are partnered with CSTV to produce their Web sites. The league's goal of having all 12 member sites produced by CSTV will give online visitors comprehensive access to the league and its members and maximize CSTV's innovative technology.
Features of the new Web site include:
Headlines from all 12 member institutions will be available on the front page
Enhanced navigation, graphics and design
An improved scoreboard on the front page;
Quick Access Menus for Sports, Schools and direct links to school athletics sites
Audio-Video streaming capabilities for media and championship events
C-USA Newsletter for conference and team updates
Event Calendar highlighting upcoming events
"It's a very exciting time to be associated with Conference USA," said Chris Bevilacqua, President and Co-Founder of CSTV. "This partnership allows us to leverage all of our new technologies, including content-rich and multi-media broadband, for fans of the conference and its teams. Our association with Conference USA reflects our mission to bring college sports fans closer to their passion in unique and innovative ways."
Conference USA recently concluded its 10th anniversary celebration in 2004-05. The league embarks on its second decade with a new look and a renewed commitment to excellence and leadership in athletics, academics and community involvement. Building on its remarkable history, a realigned C-USA will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the changing face of conference affiliations and the membership changes will reinforce the league's position in collegiate athletics for years to come.
