C-USA Championship Format
The 2013 Conference USA Championship will feature the top eight teams in regular-season league play. Those eight will be split into two four-team pools (or pods), with the winner of each pod playing in a single championship game. Teams will be assigned pods based on seed, which will be determined by the order of finish in regular-season conference play. Each team will be guaranteed to play three games. Teams in each pod will play the other three teams in its pod. The team with the best composite record in each pod would advance to the championship game. Two-way ties in a pod would be broken by head-to-head play. In case of a three-way tie, the highest seed would advance.

Games are played at 11 am, 3 pm and 7 pm the first four days of the Championship, with the championship game Sunday at 1 pm. Pairings with game times are announced after seeds are determined following the final league series of the season.

Reckling Park

The 2013 Conference USA Championship will be played at Reckling Park in Houston, Texas. The stadium on the Rice University campus has been a regular in hosting postseason baseball. In addition to the 2006 Conference USA Championship, Reckling Park has served as a host venue for NCAA Regionals or Super Regionals in 10 of the last 12 years.

The 2013 season is now the Owls' 14th at the stadium. The facility has recently undergone several renovations, including the addition of a black cast-iron fence that circles the perimeter of the stadium, the remodeling of the team's locker room, weight room and fan areas. A new playing surface and state of the art drainage system, as well as a padded outfield wall and warning track that surrounds the entire field, were added recently to improve player safety.

For the fans, a grass berm and bleachers were added beyond the left field wall. A hospitality plaza on the third base side and a sensational scoreboard with video display are fan favorites. These improvements enhance the stadium's reputation as one of the top venues in the nation.

The park features a picturesque setting on the Rice campus facing the Texas Medical Center, the comfort of the more than 3,700 chairback seats (most with cup holders) and nine private suites. There are spacious locker rooms and one of the best press boxes in college baseball.

The field dimensions are 330 feet down the left-field line, 332 feet down the right-field line, and 400 feet to center-field.

2013 NCAA College World Series

The 66th Annual College World Series will take place June 15-25/26 at TD Ameritrade Stadium in Omaha, Neb. This is the 63rd time that the CWS will be played in Omaha and the second year at the new downtown stadium.

The field consists of 64 teams, with 29 conference champions being joined by 35 at-large selections. Sixteen double-elimination regionals consisting of four teams each will take place from Friday to Monday, May 31-3. The winners of those regionals advance to the Super Regionals, which will be a best of three format with two teams playing at eight different sites during June 7-10.

The eight winners will play in the 2013 College World Series, which will employ its familiar pair of four-team double-elimination brackets leading to a best-of-three championship series between the winners of the two brackets. The CWS will run from Saturday, June 15 – Tuesday, June 25 or Wednesday, June 26.

National television coverage of the 2013 College World Series will be provided by ESPN, including the championship series, June 24, 25 and 26.
