2006 C-USA Men's Basketball Championship - Facility

FedEx Forum, which officially opened in September 2005, marked the largest public building construction project in Memphis history. Located just a few feet off Beale Street on historic Highway 61, FedExForum extends the heart of the Memphis entertainment district. Managed and operated by the Memphis Grizzlies, the facility is home to both the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA and the University of Memphis Tigers basketball team. The 18,400-seat arena and will play host to C-USA rivals for the second straight year during the 2006 C-USA Men's Basketball Championship, March 8-11. FedExForum was designed with a uniquely Memphis theme. With a location on the historic Beale Street and the fact that Memphis is the "Home of the Blues, Birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll" the theme of Memphis Music showcases the rich history of music and demonstrates the continuing production and development of new music in Memphis.
